We are mindful of what we put in our products, and we try to be just as mindful of what we put our products IN. Our packaging is primarily glass and metal which can be cleaned for refilling with your favourite products, or recycling. Cardboard packages are biodegradable, and all shipping materials are plastic-free.
Reducing plastic waste in the packaging we sell to our customers is only part of our commitment to reducing our impact on the environment, we work with our suppliers to reduce the waste in their shipments and prioritize working with companies who work to meet those needs.
Many of our bulk ingredients come in more reliably recyclable glass and aluminum containers, but some arrive in plastic which we know isn’t often recycled in our current residential programs. We purchase shipping boxes allowing us to return most of our plastic waste to Terracycle https://www.terracycle.com/en-CA/, which ensures our waste is properly sorted and processed.
